MARIE-HÉLÈNE EN DIALOGUE AVEC LA PIERRE

Marie Hélène Allain, a nun and professional artist, sculpts in stone; her work bursts with life and sensuality. Nothing for this woman is profane-everything is intimately connected. Her dialogues with God and with stone echo one another. Her sculptures reveal the intimate, almost sacred, relationship that ties her to her chosen medium. Through interviews and diary excerpts, the film reveals the world of an exceptional Acadian artist. With characteristic liveliness, wisdom and generosity, she introduces viewers to an original body of work. Marie Hélène Allain en dialogue avec la pierre chronicles the unique path of a woman who has successfully balanced her spiritual life and artistic career, without ever sacrificing the quality or intensity of one for the other.
