FIFA prizewinners : international ambassadors The festival’s pantheon of prizewinners, judged according to quality, originality and creativity, is universally recognized throughout the world’s art and film communities. This year, the jury will be presided by multidisciplinary artist and former Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick Herménégilde Chiasson. Other jurists include filmmaker Uli Aumüller (Germany); director, writer and journalist Jean Bergeron (Quebec); film historian Angela Dalle Vacche (Italy); and gallery owner Jules Maeght (France). The winning films are subsequently presented on an international tour, with stops at such prestigious institutions as the Louvre in Paris, the Studio national des arts contemporains Le Fresnoy in Tourcoing, the AIA/Center for Architecture, the Mid-Manhattan Library and the Morgan Library in New York, the National Gallery of Art in Washington, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Musée national des beaux-arts in Quebec City, the National Gallery of Canada and the Tate Modern in London. The prizewinning films thus provide FIFA with worldwide visibility, reflecting its vision, vitality and aspirations. This visibility redounds on all participating producers, directors and partners. |
