Anouk De Clercq

Belgian artist Anouk De Clercq has been creating films, videos, and installations since the late 1990s. She develops a unique, stripped-down audiovisual language in which space, architecture, memory, time and narrative are approached through different perspectives. Her passion for cinema and animation invites her to film light and various light phenomena, in order to suggest or breathe in movement in an image. She thus creates spaces that are both familiar yet improbable, from which emerge a dreamlike quality and a feeling of timelessness and absolute.
The program brings together 9 works, from 2001 to 2017.
Artist in attendance; conversation hosted by Nicole Gingras.
