Canadian Premiere

Hailing from very different cultures and backgrounds, each marked by the major conflicts of our time, four artists—Marina Abramovic, Sigalit Landau, Shirin Neshat and Katharina Sieverding—share a creative vision for a work reflecting their individual and collective stories. The four artists use their bodies to speak the truth they carry inside, inspired by their political struggles and by their pasts fraught with violence and repression. Premiering in Canada, this documentary by Evelyn Schels is richly illustrated with archival footage. It draws us deep into the creative universe and physicality of these women redefining the frontiers of art.
