Today, the digital culture is 100% integrated in everyone’s lifestyle: with the selfie culture, online collaborative web creations and most of all, the communications skills via social networks. What are the opportunities created by these tools to stimulate youngsters to Art? To go further, cultural specialists will be invited to share with us concrete examples of their creative and unique initiatives, such as video games or dance-video creations.


Julie Jaque - Production manager - Centre Pompidou

Julie Jaque is production manager for the cultural mediation department of the Centre Pompidou, in Paris.
The Centre national d'art et de culture Georges-Pompidou (CNAC) is a multidisciplinary institution born of the will of President Georges Pompidou, a great amateur of modern art, to create in the heart of Paris an original cultural institution entirely dedicated to modern and contemporary creation where the visual arts would surround books, design, music and cinema.

K Goldstein, Choreographer - Keatbeck Cie
K is a dancer. Following his studies and his love of cinema,he finally joined the International Academy of Dance in 2008. For two years, he followed a multidisciplinary and rigorous training to learn the language of movement, seeking to express what he feels for and admires in film and literature in another way, through the body. He’s working now on several project mixing dance, cinema and littérature and collaborates with centre Pompidou, Opera de Paris, Palais de Tokyo, City Council of Paris on a daily basis. He’s also a performer for Julien Previeux (Marcel Duchamp Award) or Martha Moore and travelling a lot with his new video dance project dancescape. He actually won « Art to Grow » city of Paris price to practice and create his project in schools Dancescape School: mixing creation and educational dancing set up. He just went to Armenia representing France young Art and creation in Francophony Summit. Recently awarded by Fondation de France, for his project Dancescape Generation, with retired people and 200 children, he's working now with FIFA, Centre Pompidou and City of Paris to build Dancescape In Situ between Montreal and France. K decided to use social media as a tool of diffusion and as a creative frame for the KeatBeck cie. Follow Rhodes dancing adventures :

Audrey Genois - Executive director - MOMENTA | Biennale de l’image
Audrey Genois she has been the executive director of MOMENTA | Biennale de l’image (formerly Le Mois de la Photo à Montréal) since 2016. She has been very active in national and international contemporary-art communities. For fifteen years she held the position of associate curator at Galerie de l’UQAM, where she coordinated over sixty exhibitions and twelve international touring shows. She has also edited and coordinated the production of forty publications on contemporary art. In 2007 she served as assistant curator for the exhibition David Altmejd: The Index, at the Venice Biennale (Canadian Pavilion). She is part of the curatorial team of MOMENTA 2019 biennial.

Julia Roberge Van Der Donckt - Education and Audience Development Coordinator - MOMENTA | Biennale de l’image
Julia Roberge Van Der Donckt holds a PhD in Art History with emphasis in contemporary art from the Université de Montréal, where she also worked as a lecturer. She has written essays for exhibition catalogues and her articles have been published in Inter art actuel, esse arts + opinions, SPIRALE, and Muséologies : les cahiers d’études supérieures. She is the Education and Audience Development Coordinator for MOMENTA | Biennale de l’image since 2019.

MOMENTA | Biennale de l’image is an international event that explores the contemporary image with a focus on the vast range of photographic and videographic languages. Founded in 1989 as Le Mois de la Photo à Montréal, the organization was renamed MOMENTA | Biennale de l’image en 2017. Anchored in the landscape of Montréal, the event takes an editorial direction that intersperses production from Québec and Canada with practices from elsewhere, in order to put the relationships that unite them in perspective. MOMENTA is proposed as a critical observation post and site of knowledge production in which experience becomes the key to a renewed gaze at the world.

Florence Roche - Producer and associate - TOBO
Digital and interactive youth media has always captivated Florence Roche, co-founder of TOBO and executive producer. She has worked in the digital domain since more than 15 years, as project manager (Project Images Films), scriptwriter and game designer (The Adventure Company, Trinome and Microids) and then producer (Tribal Nova, ODD1). She produced a number of award-winning digital youth projects and she's specially interested in the power of play and involvement to develop engagement.
is made of a small group of people who are dedicated to digital content and the creation of interactive multi-platform experiences for kids age 2- 102!

Hervé Tullet - Author and illustrator
Hervé Tullet is an artist, performer and author of children’s books. In his books, his illustrations, often approaching abstraction, and his unique narrative style invite readers to become part of the book. Press Here synthesizes his art in its purest form, creating magic with just three dots: yellow, red and blue. His follow-ups include, Mix it Up!, Let’s Play!, and Say Zoop!
Hervé Tullet never ceases to experiment with many workshops, unique and creative experiences that have taken him to Korea, Turkey, Tate Modern (London), Italy... Based in the United States since 2015, he has led workshops at the Library of Congress (Washington), at the MoMA and the Guggenheim Museum (NYC). He has also mounted exhibitions at the Invisible Dog Art Center (NYC) and the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh (2017). In 2018, a retrospective of his work since the 1990s took place in Seoul (Hangaram Art Museum).
The Ideal Exhibition is Hervé Tullet's latest project. It is one of his most ambitious, and is the culmination of years of experimentation, both in his books and through the many workshops he has led.

Stéphanie Lagueux - Coordinator - Studio XX
A media artist, Stephanie Lagueux has been working at Studio XX since 2002 as Cultural Mediation, Archives and Network Coordinator. She graduated from the University of Quebec (Outaouais) in 1998 with a BA in Arts and Design, and began her practice at artist-run centres Axe NÉO-7 et DAÏMON, in addition to completing a certificate in education. She works in collaboration with Jonathan L'Ecuyer on interactive and participative media arts projects in public spaces. Based in Terrebonne, she is involved in regional cultural development with Art Partage, and is working to promote access to digital arts.

Founded in 1996, Studio XX is a bilingual feminist artist-run centre that supports technological experimentation, creation and critical reflection in media arts. XX assists in the independent production and diffusion of art created by artists who identify as women, queer, trans, and gender fluid in the field of contemporary technological practices. Demystifying, providing access, equipping, questioning and creating, these are the aims of Studio XX. The centre actively participates in the development of a digital democracy that encourages autonomy and collaboration. Studio XX supports feminist artist communities in three ways: the production of artworks in digital art through artists’ residencies by providing space, equipment and specialized resources; the dissemination through the presentation and promotion of artistic works; training through workshops and activities.
