Montreal is one of the most creative and artistic cities in the world. Art is everywhere. And above all, all around us in public spaces. Sculptures, murals, installations, architectural videos, applications ... Architecture is often the starting point for these artistic interventions. This panel will adopt a creative, critical and enthusiastic look without compromising art in public spaces. Independent artists, creative directors and cultural correspondents will come and share about their approaches and researches. They will discuss the challenges of broadcasting and producing in an architectural space in constant innovation.

Jean-Christophe Yacono - Creative director, director and photographer - 4U2C (Cirque du Soleil group)
Creative director, director and photographer Canadian of french origin, his work is expressed and printed mainly in Montreal. Yako is Creative Director at 4U2C (Cirque du Soleil Group) where he ensures the creative development of experiential projects with high technological, interactive, participatory or multimedia value, from conception to delivery. His speciality is the creative exploration of technology with a particularly interactivity oriented practice and, more specifically, user experience, brand activation and all new ways of engaging and moving the public. His photographic research revolves around the movement perceived during walks, trips and experiences. Somewhere between awakening and meditation, he lets himself be guided through spaces and places captured as if they were composed only of rays of light. His images speak of a passing experience in which the city is not so much an object of observation but rather a set of moments with which I play, giving snapshots, series or animated photograms.
Founded in 2013 and based in Montreal Canada, 4U2C is a Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group company.
We are known for creating and producing video content, scenography and all forms of multimedia experiences for the live entertainment industry globally. Combining content and technology, our team connects artists, brands and audiences through unique and emotionally engaging stories.

Pascale Daigle - Director of programming - Quartier des spectacles
Pascale Daigle was worked in the arts and culture sector for more than 20 years. As director of programming at the Quartier des Spectacles Partnership, she has championed new projects for the Quartier’s outdoor public spaces and architectural projection sites. She is driven by the idea that a city’s public spaces are, above all, spaces for living and socializing. She encourages creators to use the city as their canvas, transforming it with innovative experiences, often with a participatory element. Most of these projects involve collaboration with a variety of partners, resulting in richer visions of creative work for public space.

With a history stretching back more than 100 years, the Quartier des spectacles neighbourhood has always been a popular cultural and entertainment destination in Montreal. In 2003, the Quartier’s purpose was officially defined with the creation of the Quartier des spectacles Partnership. The Quartier acquired its own visual identity and a shared vision: Live, Learn, Create and Entertain Downtown.
