Synopsis

Canadian Premiere - In attendance of the Director Jayson Tang.

This short film, shot at 100 frames per second, features dancers from the San Francisco Ballet twirling through the air in slow motion. Director Jayson Tang draws on twelve filmed performances and a fragmentary technique to sublimate the choreography into a veritable animated fresco.

When I started, I designed websites which lead to commercial and corporate videos, event design, and interactive installations with some UI work. That work allowed me to freelance with my favourite companies in London, LA, Chicago and San Francisco. I then decided to start my own business, The-Otherside, offering digital content for video walls to interactive installations. With the advancements of VR technologies, I was inspired by the potential of the medium and I founded 360profilms - creating high-quality 360º / VR films. Creating innovative experiences is my passion; working with great brands drives me.
