Conference and concert exploring the relationship between writer Marcel Proust and composer Reynaldo Hahn.

During this musical evening, author and journalist Laurence Houllier will present fragments from the book Plaisirs d’amour, jours d’amitié de Marcel Proust et Reynaldo Hahn, and baritone Olivier Bergeron and pianist Jeff Cohen will perform Hahn’s lieder, songs written by the Venezuelan composer to the texts of his close friend Proust. Unlike the works of his partner which entered the literary canon, Hahn’s pieces are only now being rediscovered, most notably by Jeff Cohen. As for Foschini’s work, it brings to life the loving artistic and personal relationship that existed between the two men.

Program presented in French.
