This film will also be presented in Montreal on March 19th and 27th.

Atam Rasho

Atam Rasho graduated from the EMCA animation school in Agoulême in 2013. His graduation film, Le Fils prodigue, was selected for over twenty animation festivals and awarded at the festival in Buenos Aires. His next project was a 2D animation in collaboration with Serge Avedikian for the film Dernier Round à Istanbul. He also worked as head of ink animation for the series Les Aventuriers de l’Art Moderne by Amélie Harrault. In early 2019, he completed production of Voix des Soupirs, his first professional animated short. This work is an adaptation of the Book of Lamentations, a collection of poems by tenth-century mystical poet Gregory of Narek, one of Armenia’s foremost cultural treasures. Alongside his work as an animator and director, Atam Rasho shares his passion for animated cinema by working with animation students as well as with primary and secondary schools and colleges.
