Belles Soeurs on the big screen

BELLES-SOEURS, THE MASTERPIECE BY MICHEL TREMBLAY, RENÉ RICHARD CYR, AND DANIEL BÉLANGER, HITS THE BIG SCREEN

The International Festival of Films on Art is pleased to present the live recording of BELLES-SOEURS at a special screening. For the first time, this masterpiece by Michel Tremblay, René Richard Cyr, and Daniel Bélanger will be shown on the big screen, with its original cast of Marie-Thérèse Fortin, Guylaine Tremblay, Maude Guérin, the late Janine Sutto, and 12 other performers, on 20 March at 7:30 p.m. at the Monument-National de Montréal.

This one-time screening also offers an opportunity to underline the 50th anniversary of the Centre du Théâtre d'Aujourd'hui, which was also a co-producer of the show. It’s a chance to celebrate this masterpiece of Quebec culture in a big way!

A homemaker living in Plateau Mont-Royal wins a million trading stamps, and her life is utterly disrupted. She invites her sisters and neighbours to a stamp-gluing party ... that’s a MUSICAL!
