The International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA) is pleased to inaugurate a new section of its program: FIFA Connexions, a series of talks and workshops open to art, culture, and creative professionals as well as the general public. Launched as part of the 37th edition, these interprofessional study days will offer an opportunity to explore themes of current interest: the creation of new business models for production and distribution of documentaries on art in the digital age, the links between architecture and image, and digital tools for developing a taste for art among young people.
Programmed by Camille Delsart, these exchanges will take place at the Pavillon du Cœur des Sciences at UQAM and will provide a context for reflection, analysis of current practices, and original and inspiring encounters, thanks to the participation of prestigious partners.
Among the partners involved in this new initiative by FIFA are: 4U2C - Groupe Cirque du Soleil, Art21, Badel Media, the Canadian Centre for Architecture, the Centre Pompidou, Daily tous les jours, Keatbeck Compagnie, KOLLECTIF, MAPP_MTL, Maison de l'architecture du Québec, Momenta Biennale de l'image, NOWNESS, Quartier des Spectacles, Stingray, Tobo Studio, Studio XX and VUCAVU.
In partnership with the Youth Media Alliance, the Montreal Public Art Bureau, the Conseil québécois des arts médiatiques (CQAM), Diversité Artistique Montréal (DAM), Main Film, the Ordre des architectes du Québec (OAQ), the Regroupement des arts interdisciplinaires du Québec (RAIQ), ARQ magazine and Xn Québec.
