Appointment of Maxime Labrecque as Year-Round Activities Programmer

Philippe U. del Drago, Executive Director of The International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Maxime Labrecque as year-round activities programmer.

Maxime Labrecque holds a doctorate in film studies from the University of Montreal. In 2017, he published the essay The Choral Film: Panorama of an Unclean Genre by l'Instant Même Publishers. He is a professor of Cinema at Cégep Garneau and has been a lecturer at the University of Montreal and Wilfrid Laurier University. He is a member of the Quebec Association of Film Critics (AQCC) and editor for several magazines including Sequence and Voir. He has been a member of the jury for several festivals, including the Festival du Nouveau Cinema (FNC), Fantasia, Regard and the International Film Festival Rotterdam. He also served on the selection committee for the 37th edition of FIFA.
